This Cookie Policy explains how the First Break AI website uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. We use them only to operate the site and to understand how it is used. We do not use cookies for advertising or retargeting.

What we use

Necessary

Used for the site itself — page rendering, security, content delivery via Cloudflare. The site will not work properly without these.

Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count pageviews and understand which lessons and pages people find useful. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically _ga, _ga_*) and collects:

  • A truncated IP address (used to estimate country).
  • The pages you visit and the order you visit them.
  • Device and browser type.
  • Referrer (the link that brought you here).

This data is aggregated. We do not try to identify you personally from it. GA default retention is 14 months.

You can opt out of Google Analytics in any of these ways:

  • Install Google’s official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Use your browser’s “Do Not Track”, privacy mode, or a content blocker.
  • Use a privacy-focused browser (Brave, Firefox with strict tracking protection, etc.).

Embedded third-party content

Some pages embed content from other services. When that content loads, those services may set their own cookies — we cannot control them from this site.

Embed Cookies set by Where it appears
YouTube video player youtube.com, google.com Lesson pages, journey, blog
Discord widgets / invite links discord.com Office hours page, CTAs
GitHub gists / cards github.com Some blog and project posts

Each of those services has its own privacy and cookie policy.

No advertising cookies

We do not run advertising on this site today. We do not use retargeting pixels, marketing cookies, or social-media tracking pixels. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and seek consent where required by law.

Managing cookies

You can clear, block, or limit cookies in your browser settings:

Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site. Blocking analytics or third-party cookies should not affect lesson content.

Changes to this policy

We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when this policy changes. If we ever add advertising or marketing cookies, we will announce it on the Discord server and seek consent where required.
