Community Guidelines
How we behave in First Break AI
Last updated: 15 May 2026
These are the same rules pinned in our Discord #rules channel. They apply to the website, the Discord server, office hours, and anywhere else First Break AI operates as a community.
By joining, you agree to follow these rules. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Age & safety
This community is recommended for learners aged 16+.
If you are under 18, join only with parent or guardian permission.
Do not share personal information such as phone number, address, school or college ID, government ID, private photos, exact location, passwords, API keys, or family details.
No NSFW content, sexual content, grooming behaviour, harassment, or unsafe DMs. Suspicious behaviour toward minors will lead to an immediate ban.
2. Be respectful
No insults, bullying, hate speech, caste/religion/gender-based abuse, racism, sexism, or mocking beginners.
Disagree with ideas, not people.
3. Help people learn
Beginners are welcome.
Ask clear questions. Share what you tried, the error you got, and any relevant screenshots or logs.
Do not shame basic questions.
4. Stay on topic
Keep discussions related to AI, ML, LLMs, training, inference, Hugging Face, datasets, agents, tools, research, and projects.
Avoid political fights, religious debates, random spam, and unrelated content.
5. No spam or aggressive self-promotion
Do not drop links without context.
No affiliate spam, referral spam, repeated promotion, unrelated job posts, or mass advertising.
Ask a mod before promoting a course, product, community, event, or paid service.
6. No piracy or illegal content
Do not share pirated courses, cracked software, leaked API keys, stolen datasets, malware, credential dumps, or illegal material.
Do not ask for help bypassing licences, paywalls, exams, platform limits, or security systems.
7. No harmful AI use
Do not ask for help with scams, phishing, malware, impersonation, deepfake abuse, harassment, credential theft, or bypassing safety systems.
This server is for learning AI engineering responsibly.
8. Respect privacy
Do not share private DMs, screenshots, personal details, or someone else’s work without permission.
Do not cold-DM members for sales, hiring, mentoring, dating, or promotion.
9. Use the right channels
Post in the correct channel so the server stays useful.
Use #introductions, #help-and-questions, #debugging, #resources, and #project-showcase properly.
10. Mods have final say
Mods may remove posts, warn, mute, or ban users to protect the community.
Repeated rule-breaking will lead to removal.
Our goal
Learn deeply. Build real projects. Show your work. Help others get better.
If you see a violation, ping a mod or email [email protected].
